Collaboration with IHOPE

CIRCE, Indumetal, Recyclia had a project meeting with company Ihobe at Bilbao on 16th July. Ihopeis a publicly-owned company coming under the Basque Government's Ministry for the Environment, Territorial Planning and Housing. Ihobe supports the Basque Government in the implementation of the environmental policy and in the spreading of the environmental sustainability culture in the Basque Autonomous Community. Ihobe's mission as a publicly-owned company is to support the Basque Government's Minister for the Environment, Territorial Planning and Housing in the implementation of the environmental policy and in the spreading of the sustainability culture in the Basque Autonomous Community.

 

With the aim of involving IHOBE in the activities to be developed in the Basque Country, Indumetal gives details about specific actions on which IHOBE can collaborate and support, providing contacts, making easier the approach to the schools or identifying potential barriers, including

 

  • Task 2.5. Development of incentive schemes for reducing, reusing and recycling

  • Task 2.6. End-user awareness for reuse/recycling

  • Task 3.4. Informative and Awareness Campaign for sustainable consumption

  • Task 6.3. Demonstration of CEBM with tablets

 

After the explanation and discussion about different issues, CIRC4Life project makes the following requests:

 

  • Suggestions of potential agents to be involved in the CIRC4Life activities:

    • Contacts with local organisations (municipalities, local government)

    • Contacts with schools

  • Support in the selection of the most suitable local government and in the dissemination activities

  • Identification of barriers for the implementation of innovative business models as well as incentive scheme/s to be demonstrated in the Basque Country.

 

Some agreements are also achieved among the meeting participants:

 

  • Contacts in the different local governments and organisations in order to gather useful information for the project and to identify the location for the DEMO (IHOBE)

  • Preparation of a checklist, detailing all the requirements for the local governments in order to clarify, limitations, possibilities, or new ideas from their side (IND, CIR, REC, Jul 2018)
