Eleven label versions were designed and submitted to be voted.  The winner label his was designed by our project partner Laurea University of Applied Sciences (UAS).

However, the winner among external participants was Finnish designer Aleksanteri Repo who designed the label below. The Design Challenge Jury rewarded him with the exclusive invitation to the final Innovation Camp, which will be held in Spain end October 2020.

In July 2019, our partner Laurea UAS launched the CIRC4Life Design Challenge, inviting design students, professionals, and citizens in the EU and worldwide, to take part in designing a more sustainable way of living. Designers were invited to send in their ideas and concepts, which were then displayed alongside results created previously during the project.

The competition sought to answer the following questions:

  • How can we make sustainability information of a product visual and easy to understand?

  • What kind of sustainability visualisation would have an impact on consumers purchasing decision?
